Grazed & Woven creates one of a kind products benefiting local land and people. Sourced, designed and crafted within Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Mendocino counties, every purchase of a Grazed & Woven piece contributes to a virtuous cycle that supports land stewardship and climate change mitigation as well supporting artisans through skill building and equitable pay.

Land Stewardship

Grazed & Woven wool comes from Sonoma County Community Grazing Cooperatives. The wool grown on the sheep, produced from the vegetation they grazed to reduce fire fuel loads, provides income and supports the cooperative’s long term success.

Led by Sarah Keiser and Wild Oat Hollow, Community Grazing Cooperatives are a method for rural residents, ranchers and public land managers to empower themselves in their own land stewardship while building community resiliency. The shared grazing ruminants support the reduction of dangerous wildfire fuel loads, provide the development of healthy fire ecosystems and improve the aesthetics of rural neighborhoods and public open spaces, all while strengthening camaraderie among diverse residents.
